Petr focuses on industrial and interior design. In 2002 he saw the birth of the design Studio File.
Three years later he finished his studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and together with Michaela Vrátníková he established the BOA studio, which focuses on projects in the field of interior, product and fashion design. In 2009 the studio won the Editors’ Prize for the Neoline light collection introduced at Designblok. Petr Mikošek cooperates with leading Czech designers and studios (OlgojChorchoj, Bořek Šípek and Jiří Pelcl). He regularly participates in design exhibitions both in the Czech Republic and abroad. In 2011 he won the National Design Prize for the Startrack light for OMS (Slovakia), which he worked on with Jiří Pelcl. Together with Michaela Vrátníková and Jan Čtvrtník he won the prestigious Red Dot Award for the minimalistic Baobab and Triangolo flower stands and the Calimero flower pot in 2012.
