Čeněk focuses on subjective photography documentary. He currently studies at the Photography Department of the Film Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He graduated from the High Professional Film School in Písek and the Theory and History of Theatre, Film and Audio-Visual Culture Studies at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno. In 2013 he won the competition project “Two Faces of Prague” (“Dvě tváře Prahy”) with the theme of a new view on the current look of Prague city centre in the area around Wenceslas Square. One of the photography projects that Čeněk Folk worked on with the coordinator J. Bárta was the project named “Under Current” (“Pod proudem”) addressing the issue of coal mining and power plant operation and its impact on the lives of local people and the surrounding nature.
